Google Chrome Updated

Google has released updated version of their Chrome web browser. Version 109.0.5414.119 is available for macOS and Linux and 109.0.5414.119/.120 for Windows. Among other changes six security vulnerabilities were fixed.

Mozilla Thunderbird Updated

Mozilla have released updated versions of their Thunderbird email client containing some fixes to security vulnerabilities.

Affected versions:

- Mozilla Thunderbird earlier than 102.7

Mozilla Firefox Updated

Mozilla have released updated versions of their Firefox web browser. New versions fix security vulnerabilities.

Affected versions:

-Mozilla Firefox earlier than 109 (advisory) 

-Mozilla Firefox ESR 102.x earlier than 102.7 (advisory)

Fresh version can be obtained via inbuilt updater or by downloading (latest version) from the product site.

Oracle Critical Patch Update For Q1 of 2023

Oracle has released updates for their products that fix 327 security issues (including four Java fixes) in total. The updates are a part of Oracle's quarterly released critical patch update (CPU).

The next Oracle CPU is planned to be released in April 2023.

Google Chrome Updated

Google has released updated version of their Chrome web browser. Version 109.0.5414.87 is available for macOS, 109.0.5414.74 for Linux and 109.0.5414.74/.75 for Windows. Among other changes 17 security vulnerabilities were fixed.

Adobe Reader And Acrobat Security Updates

Adobe have released security updates to fix vulnerabilities in their PDF products, Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat for Windows and macOS. Exploiting the vulnerabilities could allow arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user.

Affected versions:
*Acrobat DC and Acrobat Reader DC, continuous track
versions earlier than 22.003.20282 for Windows and 22.003.20281 for macOS

*Acrobat 2020 and Acrobat Reader 2020, 2020 classic track
versions earlier than 20.005.30418


Users of vulnerable versions are instructed to update their versions either by using automatic update functionality or by downloading fresh version manually. The default installation configuration runs automatic updates on a regular schedule and can be manually activated by choosing Help > Check for Updates.

Microsoft have released security updates for January 2023.

New PHP Versions Available

PHP development team has released 8.2.1, 8.1.14 and 8.0.27 versions of the PHP scripting language. New versions fix security issues among other bug fixes. All PHP users are recommended to upgrade their versions to the latest release of the correspondent branch.
